Every Labor Day weekend, the Detroit Jazz Festival creates unique musical explorations from jazz legends, those in their prime and up-and-coming artists who are keeping the legacy alive. Musicians and fans from around the world come to the heart of our uniquely American city, to experience this uniquely American art form. But we couldn't keep it free for all without the passion and commitment of hundreds of volunteers.
If you've ever wanted to be a part of the excitement of a world-class music festival and can commit 12 hours of time over the four-day Labor Day Weekend, we need your passion, enthusiasm and energy in the following volunteer areas:
If you would like to give your time to the historical culture of the Detroit Jazz Festival, you will need to be at least 16 years of age, and to commit to two six-hour shifts throughout the weekend. In return, become part of an event team like no other, learn how a major festival with four stages and hundreds of artists comes to fruition and make friends and memories that last.
