Ron Kischuk & the Masters of Music Trombones
4:30–5:30PM, Mack Avenue Records Pyramid Stage

Assembled to play in the style of the great J.J. Johnson & Kai Winding trombone bands of the ‘50s and ‘60s, Ron Kischuk & the Masters of Music Trombones performs music from the original J & K group, plus arrangements written specially for the band. Leader and trombonist Ron Kischuk has performed with many several notable jazz figures and has been a featured performer with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his work with the Masters of Music, he is the leader of the Tartarsauce Traditional Jazz Band and is musical director of the Toledo Jazz Orchestra. The Masters of Music is comprised George Troia (bass trombone), Al Duncan (trombone), Matt Michaels (piano), Jeff Halsey (bass), Dave Taylor (drums), John Trudell (valve trombone), Ed Gooch (trombone) and Randall Hawes (bass trombone).
