Mambo Legends Orchestra
9:45–11:15PM, Chase Main Stage

Formerly the Tito Puente Orchestra, the Mambo Legends Orchestra is a gathering of musical giants committed to keeping the sound of ‘50s and ‘60s Palladium-era music thriving and moving forward. The orchestra—led by John ‘Dandy’ Rodriguez, musically directed by Jose Madera and managed by Mitch Frohman (each having spent over 25 years working with Tito Puente)—has successfully kept the sound of the Big 3 (Machito, Tito Rodriguez and Tito Puente) alive and well, while allowing for its progression by working with new musical concepts. The orchestra is comprised of John 'Dandy' Rodriguez (bongos), Jose Madera (timbales), Mitch Frohman (saxophone), Frankie Vazquez (vocals), Cita Rodriguez (vocals), Marco Bermudez (vocals), George Delgado (conga), Bobby Porcelli (sax), Pete Miranda (sax), Peter Brainin (sax), Todd Bashore (sax), John Walsh (trumpet), Kevin Bryan (trumpet), Pete Nater (trumpet), Richie Viruet (trumpet), Sam Burtis (trombone), Lewis Kahn (trombone), Reynaldo Jorge (trombone), Sonny Bravo (piano) and Jerry Madera (bass).
