The Detroit-based Lynn LaPlante Seven (LL7) delivers “an exciting mix of acoustic jazz styles, featuring Latin, bop and post-bop jazz, all with an emphasis on rich ensemble writing. Inspired by the early 1950s work of Miles Davis modern Latin Jazz styles, LL7 showcases the imagination, variety, and taste of LaPlante's horn arrangements.” LL7 features band leader and pianist Lynn LaPlante with James O'Donnell (trumpet), Bob Maitland (trombone), Joe Ivers (saxes, flute), Tony Suhy (bass), Dave Marcaccio (drums) and Greco Freeman (conga).
