This multi-talented keyboardist first gained wide attention when he began touring and recording with the critically acclaimed electric jazz group Tribal Tech in the early ‘90s. He went on to perform and record with James Moody, Bill Evans and Joe Zawinul, while also making his mark producing records for Zawinul, Phillip Bailey and others. Kinsey debuted as a leader with the 2006 release of Kinesthetics, which includes contributions from Tribal Tech bandmates Scott Henderson, Gary Willis and Kirk Covington. You can also hear Kinsey’s keyboard work on the soundtracks for Ocean’s Eleven, Brown Sugar and other major films. The Scott Kinsey group consists of Kirk Covington (drums), Matthew Garrison (bass) and Seamus Blake (saxophone).
