Pat Bianchi Trio

The touted protégé of organ master Joey DeFrancesco, Pat Bianchi has established himself as one of today’s elite jazz organists. JazzTimes proclaimed Bianchi “a strong new voice in the current wave of Hammond B3 organists.”—a description in keeping with his selection as one of the top 10 Jazz Organists in the 2007 Downbeat Readers Poll. Bianchi has performed with a with a veritable “who’s who” of greats, including Lou Donaldson, George Benson, Ralph Peterson Jr., Joey DeFrancesco, Javon Jackson, Greg Gisbert, Peter Bernstein, Wayne Escoffery, Byron Landham, Terell Stafford, Jesse Davis, Mark Whitfield, Sean Jones, Christian McBride and Tim Warfield. Bianchi’s debut recording as a leader, East Coast Roots, appeared for over eight consecutive weeks on the Jazz Week national radio charts and was voted by several jazz radio stations as one of the top Jazz CD’s of 2006. His sophomore outing, Back Home, is scheduled for release in 2010. Rounding out the Pat Bianchi Trio are drummer Carmen Intorre and guitarist Steve Kovalcheck.
