The Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet with special guest Wayne Escoffery

The Brubeck Jazz Quintet has been consistently as the best college jazz group in the nation over the past several years. The group is comprised of members of the Institute’s Fellowship Program – talented high school graduates who are selected to study jazz at the University of Pacific for two years. Current members include Nick Frenay (trumpet), Sam Crowe (saxophone), Alec Watson (piano), Bill Vonderhaar (bass) and Colin McDaniel (drums). Their special guest is saxophonist Wayne Escoffery, one of the jazz world’s rising stars. He has played with Eric Reed, Ben Riley, the Mingus Big Band and Tom Harrell.
