Now in its 5th year, the Detroit Jazz Festival’s Kid Bop tent provides stories, participatory programs and great jazz for wee-boppers and the young at heart. It is a great introduction to jazz, with art projects by Arts & Scraps, tap dancers, balloon artists and face painters.
  

  
Detroit Tap Repertory presents M.A.D.D. Rhythms with special guest Rod Ferrone.
The Detroit Tap Repertory, founded by former Radio City Rockette Denise Caston, is joined by Rod Ferrone, whose special blend of tap, comedy and hat tricks is sure to entertain. Scott Gwinnell will appear with them.
  
Mosaic Singers
Detroit’s young and gifted Mosaic Singers have performed in over 25 states, at The White House and The Kennedy Center. They have also appeared at the World Festival of Children’s Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, The Millennium Dome in London, England, and participated in cultural exchanges with Dakar, Senegal and Singapore.
  
Bambuti Drum & Dance Group
Bambuti drum and dance group, founded by Efe Bes, keeps the tradition of African dance and music alive by blending it with jazz, hip-hop, techno and house.
  
Michelle McKinney & Her Hip Cats
McKinney is a percussionist, storyteller, singer and dancer, who has created special programs for children in Detroit for three decades.
