Founded in 1992 by Bishop Edgar L. Vann II, the Second
Ebenezer Majestic Voices is a contemporary adult choir that uses different
genres of music and expression to deliver the message that “Jesus
is Lord.” Under the leadership of Shawny DeBerry, the Majestic
Voices have shared the stage with Jim Belushi, Dorinda Clark-Cole,
Karen Clark-Sheard, Aretha Franklin, Mavis Staples, Deitrick Haddon,
Byron Cage, Donald Lawrence, Vashawn Mitchell, Kim McFarland, Craig
Brothers, Commissioned, Marvin Sapp, and many others.
The Majestic Voices will be conducted by special guest
J.D. Steele.
Mr. Steele exploded onto the Minnesota music scene in the mid-1980s
along with Prince, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Soul Asylum, and The
Steeles (his dynamic vocal siblings). Mr. Steele has produced and
recorded seven Steeles albums. He has also written, produced, performed
and recorded with Prince, Donald Fagen, George Clinton, Mavis Staples,
Kim Carnes, Fine Young Cannibals, The Sounds of Blackness and many
others.
