The 28th Annual Detroit
Jazz Fest featured a battle royal between the great jazz cities of Detroit
and Chicago. The Rumble in the Great Lakes, as
it was billed, produced no losers – only a growing legion of passionate
and appreciative jazz fans.
It
also featured the festival’s
first ever artist in residence, award-winning violinist and Detroit native
Regina Carter, the legendary Herbie Hancock, Dave Brubeck, and many more.
Check out why Detroit Jazz Fest was recently voted
one of the top five festivals in North America. And in case you
haven’t heard, the best is yet to come.
